the ordinary way

If you struggle in your meditation practice perhaps it is because you view meditation is special or cool.

I'll try to explain:

If you perceive meditation as special or cool this means you have an idea of meditation - that meditation is a certain way and that way special or cool. When meditating you will always be trying to harmonize with the idea you have of meditation. But this idea is outside yourself! How can you reach harmony with something that is outside yourself?!

There is struggle because the idea outside and you are always reaching for it.

Hence, view meditation process as ordinary, as ordinary as your plain old self. Allow the process to be.

This way meditation will not be outside yourself and you won't have to reach for anything. It will just be ordinary.
